US Magnetics currently has for sale several GenRad W20HMT3A metered single phase Variacs which are surplus to our test lab needs. These rugged benchtop units were designated for military use as TF-523/U. These Variacs are NOS – unused in the original packaging with the US Army Technical Manual and instructions, and are being offered at about half the OEM price. Capable of operation from either a 120V or 240V 50/60 Hz input source. Also available are two types of modified units of this model – “MOD-1” – capable of 0-280V output with 120V input, and “MOD-2” – 120V/240V dual-input model. These are the same reliable units we use on a regular basis in our own test lab.
